Southeast Regional Health and Human Services provides services for people with autism and intellectual disabilities across the lifespan. Our services support individuals in living a life where they have choice, and control. SERHHS incorporates a person-centered approach to services, allowing individual to choose within the scope of their abilities. When planning services, such as community outings, individuals will determine their day and how they would like to spend it. Most of the home and community-based services for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities are funded through a Medicaid Waiver Program. The amount and type of services is determined by an individual needs' assessment and the waiver they are funded by. Some of the services offered by SERHHS are:
Inhome and Community supports are taylored to the individual's desire and ability. Services are offered in home or out in the community by a trained direct support professional.
Similar to in-home and community service, companion services are carried out by direct support professionals to individuals in their homes or their communities.
Provide relief for the primary care givers in their absence or in an emergency situation. This is provided in their family home.
Support services for individuals working in competitive employment within the community.
